General Plan Advisory Committee
The City Council appointed a General Plan Advisory Committee (GPAC) comprised of residents and stakeholders to represent the community at large. The GPAC will work with City staff, the City’s consultant, and the public throughout the General Plan Update process and will make recommendations to the Planning Commission and City Council. The major topic areas that will be discussed include land use planning, mobility options, economic development, public safety and community services, and sustainability.
The final meeting of the Lomita General Plan Advisory Committee took place on Wednesday March 6, 2024. This meeting represented the conclusion of the GPAC’s role in advisory City Staff and the Consultant Team on the goals, objectives, and priorities for the Lomita community. The GPAC members have dedicated themselves to representing the Lomita community and the entire project team is deeply appreciative of their service to the General Plan and the City of Lomita.
